Please contact me. I have very detailed information regarding a different W.Eugene Smith photo that was taken on Okinawa. This second photo was probably taken within a few hours of the Terry Moore photos. If Mr. Winkler is still alive, he may be able to verify some of the information that I have. Previously, I was not aware W. Eugene Smith had an assistant.

Is Terry Moore still living? I don’t know how to find out. Lloyd Minkler is my uncle.
Lloyd Minkler was his assistant. He is mentioned in the article. Lloyd is still living and in Smith Center, Kansas.
