Obama snubs Medal of Honor recipients

For 56 years, each incoming president has attended the Salute to Heroes Inaugural Ball. 48 of the 98 living recipients of the Medal of Honor, our nation’s highest military honor, were in attendance. But Barack Obama became the first president not to attend the ball in fifteen incoming administrations.

The president did manage to attend ten other inaguaral balls, however. Just not this one.
