Energy Secretary’s idea of the ‘change we need’

Obama has named Steven Chu as his nominee for Energy Secretary.

Why should this be concerning? In September, Chu told the Wall Street Journal, “Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.”

Raising the price on fuel will raise the price of everything in our economy. And that will hit the little guy hardest of all.

What other solutions does this guy have in mind?In a speech earlier this year, Chu gave a preview of his thoughts on energy: “Coal is my worst nightmare.” That’s not comforting – coal provides inexpensive, clean energy to half of our nation.

Tell us, Mr. Obama how your Energy Secretary is the change we need.
