Transcript of Obama’s address released

As I wrote last week, Obama’s address to school children on Tuesday was not a political message, but an inspirational message to children as the White House claimed – albeit with Obama mentioning himself a few times.

From the transcript:

When I was young, my family lived in Indonesia for a few years, and my mother didn’t have the money to send me where all the American kids went to school. So she decided to teach me extra lessons herself, Monday through Friday – at 4:30 in the morning.

Conveniently missing is the fact that little Barry Soetoro attended an Islamic madrassa and was listed as an Indonesian Muslim.

Maybe you could be a mayor or a Senator or a Supreme Court Justice…

And if you hate America, white firemen, or are a Marxist you could work for the Federal government!

You want to be … a member of our military? You’re going to need a good education…

But if you don’t get a good education, according to John Kerry, you will get “stuck in Iraq.” At least Obama didn’t insult our troops.

The story of America isn’t about people who quit when things got tough. It’s about people who kept going, who tried harder, who loved their country…
But then why is it that everyone Obama surrounds himself with seems to hate the country and all it stands for?

It’s the story of students who sat where you sit 250 years ago, and went on to wage a revolution and found this nation. Students who sat where you sit 75 years ago who overcame a Depression…

(a depression caused by FDR – who Obama reveres and seeks to emulate)

…and won a world war; who fought for civil rights…

(opposed by DEMOCRATS)

and put a man on the moon.
