50 members of the 1st Ranger Battalion participated in last week’s Dieppe Raid, and three are interviewed on page seven. Capt. Roy A. Murray led the Ranger force, which landed with the British Commandos, destroying a coastal artillery battalion before withdrawing. Staff Sgt. Kenneth D. Stempson will retire as a colonel, as does Captain Murray.
