Gen. Douglas MacArthur, while traveling across Australia to Melbourne, famously states “I shall return!” — see page two… On page three we learn of the Kragujevac Massacre, where German soldiers murdered some 2,800 Yugoslavs in response to attacks that killed ten Germans and wounded 26. Adolf Hitler ordered that his forces kill 100 for every killed German and 50 for each wounded soldier, however these reprisals drive more people to become partisans and the practice ends in 1943… Sports section begins on page 53
