Cecil Travis and Buddy Lewis, Washington’s two best players in 1941, are already serving. Fortunately Hillis Layne, Jack Sanford, and Dick Mulligan only have a combined total experience of 17 games last season… Page 33 reports that the Navy Midshipmen have sunk University of Virginia basketball team, and leading the Midshipmen with 14 points is none other than football star “Barnacle” Bill Busik.
