Why the ‘Occupy’ anarchy gets a pass

“The radical’s affection for people is not lessened when masses of them demonstrate a capacity for brutality, selfishness, hate, greed, avarice, and disloyalty. It is not the people who must be judged but the circumstances that made them that way.”

– Saul Alinsky

  • Exactly. We have a society that tells its members that they are entitled to certain things by virtue of the fact that they breathe. If you feed a dog every day, it will be upset on the day you stop feeding it. Society did not teach the Occupy protesters to commit violence but it did teach them to raise a fuss if they don’t get their daily feeding.
