How can you argue with this?

Walid Phares makes an excellent point in a recent Op-Ed, “15 Hard Questions about the Cairo Speech“:

“Why would a nation in the northern part of the Western Hemisphere [the United States] be footing the bill of development in remote regions [Muslim countries] where the financial establishment is buying shares of and controlling the American economy?”

I don’t care who you voted for, the fact that while unbelievably wealthy regimes are buying up American economy, we are essentially becoming their welfare benefactors. What a tangled web we weave.
