The drums are beating and Iran appears to be rattling its sabres louder and more forcefully with each passing day. I think it will happen...it MUST happen in fact, although I wish it weren't necessary. Iran is the leading problem in the world for democratic people, surpassing even North Korea. Its tentacles spread to almost all of the unrest in the Middle East, it is threatening the lifeblood of economies all over the world, it is attempting assasinations in several countries, including the United States of America, and it marches relentlessly toward building nuclear weapons, confident that the Obama Administration has no stomach for war after it bailed us out of Afghanistan and Iraq.

What Iran needs to consider is that this is an election year in the United States and Obama is a clear underdog. Nothing would bolster his chances for reelection more than engaging us in a war with Iran. War and 9/11 likely saved George W. Bush's 2nd term. Gonna be a close call...but I betcha it happens.

I don't think that it will reach that point with the sanctions in place. I just read that the international inspectors have been allowed access to inspect Irans newest facility which is a good sign. Neither side wants to inflame the entire middle east.

The inspectors were in a few weeks ago too Buck. Of course the Iranians didn't let them go to where they wanted to go. But the liberal/isolationist proclaimed it a great victory while the Iranians laughed their butts off and delayed any action a little longer. Is your hatred for Israel go great that you want them to be bombed with a atomic warhead?

What evidence do you have for your position? Keeping in mind that these are radical Islamics who are in charge there. People who are looking for the coming of the fifth eamon (or what ever he is called) which will bring victory over the infidel and who believe that a war with Israel will bring that about. Is your hatred for Israel go great that you want them to be bombed with a atomic warhead?

When Iran withdraws from the NPT then I will be concerned. Don't forget that Iran has the right to generate electricity from it's own nuclear powerplant.

Say Buck, how does it feel to be made a fool of? The Iranians are not allowing the IAEA inspectors interview their top scientists or go to the sites they wanted to go to. I wonder how many times you will be fooled before you wise up.

The sanctions will work because their country can not exist without the sale of oil. They will have a revolution on their hands by the citizens of their country.
