I've used it-- it's about as good as your computer and your internet service allows-

A bit unweildly... Good to make long distance calls from (pretty much unlimited), but not good for 911 service if what you have isn't a truly local number. If that is a case, I'd keep a basic land line. If your internet service is out for any reason, so is your phone service.

Overall, if you don't depend on it for a lifeline, I think it's a good deal for what you get.

On-going discussion on Magic Jack on one of my Air Force forums. Most seem to like it. Won't work for me since satellite internet connection is not fast enough.
