Buddy, he was a hero to many poor people back then, and never stuffed his pockets with money like many politicians do today. He is portrayed by some today as a evil person, but after reading about him, I must disagree.

I find it a mixed bag. With the GOP signing pledges to never raise taxes like a bunch of lemmings under the control of Grover Norquist, he has been unable to get his infrastructure rebuilding plan accomplished to put people back into the workforce.

That is periphery to Obama's and Alinsky's core beliefs. So the question still remains, do you believe in their belief system?

You are the expert on them, I am surprised you do not know.

What was Alinsky's view of private property?

He sure does not sound evil to me.

A People's Organization is a conflict group, [and] this must be openly and fully recognized. Its sole reason in coming into being is to wage war against all evils which cause suffering and unhappiness. A People’s Organization is the banding together of large numbers of men and women to fight for those rights which insure a decent way of life. . . .
A People's Organization is dedicated to an eternal war. It is a war against poverty, misery, delinquency, disease, injustice, hopelessness, despair, and unhappiness. They are basically the same issues for which nations have gone to war in almost every generation. . . . War is not an intellectual debate, and in the war against social evils there are no rules of fair play. . . .
A People's Organization lives in a world of hard reality. It lives in the midst of smashing forces, dashing struggles, sweeping cross-currents, ripping passions, conflict, confusion, seeming chaos, the hot and the cold, the squalor and the drama, which people prosaically refer to as life and students describe as 'society'.

A "People's Organization"

Buck-- hate to tell you but it's people like you that have allowed despots and dictators to visit havoc upon the world. Do you not study history? All the despotic regimes in the past 120 years started with "The people's..." "The People's Republic of China"--Cambodia, Castro's Cuba, North Korea -- They get the masses riled up against the "evil rich" (sound familiar, Buck?)- which leads to a 'revolution' which kills millions, and is inevitably followed by mass poverty (except for the ruling elite--I mean, some are more 'equal' than others), concentration camps, death squads, -- pretty much every evil which has been visited upon humanity all began with "The People's ...." And Saul Alinsky was cut from that same damned cloth, Buck-- and I'm sorry to say, but I can't believe you're STUPID enough to fall for it.

Come on, Buck-- you have a better brain than that-- think critically-- use it. Don't be a lemming.
