Barack Obama is at the University of Michigan this morning giving what is obviously a campaign speech. Just took my son to the airport so that he can head home to Florida for a few days...two huge USAF transport jets were parked at the old abandoned international terminal...and right over my head comes Air Force One for a landing, then taxis up and parks by the two transport jets...one of which was carrying his royal higness' limousine, the other a bus for the press corps.

It irritates the hell out of me that this guy is flying into one of the worst-hit areas of the country for unemployment, his administration criticized the hell out of the auto executives for spending so much on travelling (corporate jets and so on) and he's travelling around in all this opulence...NOT to conduct government business, but to deliver a campaign speech. That should be illegal.

As a preliminary to Lord Obama's speech, the Michigan Democratic Committee is urging folks in heavily-Democratic (also heavily black) Detroit to not bother voting in the Dem Primary in February because Obama has the nomination in his hip pocket. Instead, they want them to crossover and vote for Roin Paul...to encourage Paul to run as a third-party candidate. This also should be illegal.

At least 45% of the American people are not that stupid. I hope they turn out to vote. If not, say hello to the newest socialist regime on the planet!
