Since the Korean war the US has had a strategic military policy of being able to fight two regional wars at the same time. During Carters administration the military got down to the point that they could only fight one at a time. Reagan grew the military back to being able to fight two at a time. Clinton destroyed that capability as can be seen by the capability he left Bush with. Now Obama is going to cut the military capability even more. We will not even be able to fight one regional war to protect ourselves or our interests abroad.

Those who voted for Obama can thank themselves for this.

On the bright side, we get to kick this sumbitch back to Chicago in ten months time. Keep your eyes on the prize Buddy...better days are on the horizon!

I watched Panetta's speech at the Pentagon a little while ago. If I am able to judge anything by facial expressions, I can tell you that even Panetta didin't believe the things he was saying.

Buddy, not saying we're at that time yet, but this action may very well be in part the leading up to Bible prophesy regarding the coming WWIII. Who can say for sure, one way, or another that the Iranian threats about closing Hormus will, or will not be the catalyst bringing about such events.

Saudis, Gulf states on war alert for early US-Iran clashMy link

UK warns Iran: Close Hormuz at your own peril

The United States will most likely be a minor player in the end-times, which the Bible says is coming. Whether we're a diminished nation due to war, or from isolationism is not clear. What is clear, we will not be one of the major players in the endtimes. It's sad to see our country declining morally and militarily; it nevertheless appears to be the future for us...no-longer the World's Nation Builder, nor protector of world peace.

There's a lot of talk about the International Peace Plan for the Middle East, which is to culminate by the end of 2012. Personally, I doubt it will take place by year's end, but just imagine the World's mind set demanding peace, after a WWIII.

If these events are about to come upon us, don't be discouraged, rather be looking up my friend.

We have a defense budget that continues to be larger than roughly the next 10 countries combined. When is enough, enough?

Wing, guys like you got us into Iraq, and are now pushing for war with Iran. Hope you enjoy seeing more American soldiers killed for nothing. Bush H W had the brains in the family, and got us through kicking Saddam out of Kuwait without spending a cent and minimal military casualty's. The neocon drums are making noise now, and will put us in a war before years end.The military can get by on FAR less. If they need more, it is time to raise taxes and pay for it all, instead of borrowing from Commie China to finance our needless wars.

Or time to quit spending it on social programs, Planned Parenthood, MoveOn.org, Public Television, the NEA (both of 'em), and yes, Medicare. We are gonna lay off 120,000 soldiers who fight and die to protect this country and defend your right to be a liberal, but we have 50,000 TSA employees, none of whom is facing layoff, whose only job is to body search your wife or your grandmother. Priorities in this country are skewed and it is because of the brainless element in this country who marked their ballots for Comrade Obama in 2008 (if the shoe fits, wear it!) that they are skewed.

We might go to war with Iran, but not because anyone enjoys war. Iran is threatening to close the Strait of Hormuz which would interrupt the world's oil supply. The Strait is international waters. I'm wondering why we haven't done anything about Iran's nuclear ambitions other than make noise diplomatically, but I'm gonna bet dollars to donuts that if Iran does anything to close the Strait we will act quickly...particularly because failing to do so will expose the lie that is Obama's procalimed economic recovery.

You may support Comrade Obama again in November...in fact, I'd be surprised if you didn't. But I truly believe that a distinct majority of people in this country are fed up with his ignoring the Constitution and his apologizing for American greatness...and will send him back to Chicago to organize bands of malcontents there...doing what he does best. And it'll happen IN SPITE of you and your fellow left-leaning RINOs.

...Mr. Obama and his komrads in congress are a bigger threat to this country and the world than Iran can ever be. The enemy is in the bedroom people...and he's about to burn down the house.

...Obama again?? ...Really??

When we have a military large enough to fight two regional wars at the same time. Back in Kennedy's time the military budget was about 50% of the federal budget. Now it is about one seventh of the total federal budget.

You can keep spouting the Dem talking points all you want Buck, but the truth is that your vote assured us throwing away the blood and money spent on a victory in Iraq and now to surrendering to the Taliban in Afghanistan. How does defeat taste to you Buck? Do you like it when your country surrenders to a bunch of murderers? Does that make you fee all warm a fuzzy inside like it does Obama?
