We would never be able to end the hatred of the various Iraq parties for each other. I think we got out just in time.

Or another assessment is that this would not have happened if Obama had not failed in his leadership.

You can't blame Obama for the sectarian violence, It took a lot of killing by Saddam to control his country. We would have had to referee their differences for years to come.

As you know, I blame Obama for changing a victory into a defeat which is what he has done. A small contingent of troops would have been all that was necessary. But no, for his own political reason, not military or diplomatic strategic or tactical reasons, he pulled them all out. Hence, it was and is Obama's fault for this very preventable and stupid failure.

Buddy, we will have 5000 troops in nearby Kuwait, out of the line of fire, to deal with problems in Iraq.

5000 troops in Kuwait or anywhere else will never go back into Iraq.

Yes Lonnie, but like with most liberals, it doesn't matter what is real. It only matters what your intentions are. Buck's got that covered nicely...

Wing, we have lost enough of Americas best in that country, It's time to take them out of the line of fire. If you had a kid there you might have a different opinion.

If all of us kept our kids out of the line of fire we'd cease to exist. This is the greatest nation on earth because we step up to do what's right when the situation calls for it. Perhaps you didn't agree with the decision to invade Iraq...lots of people don't. Fact remains, the middle east is a safer place as a result of Saddam Hussein being toppled from power, and as a result so is the United States. You are entitled to your opinion, despite the fact that it is usually wrong.
