In the last two days it has rained almost 1 1/4" and more on the way!

:yess:

Even better is that it has come in small light showers so that nearly all of it has soaked in!!

 Good Buddy. As of Sunday afternoon I've had 4 inches of rain and it's flooding around here. I saw on the news that Dallas got 9 1/2" today, their really flooded. All the rain soaked in for 2 days and now the ground can't hold anymore. I sure hope it helps the lake levels. :TwoThumbs:

We barely got 1/16" of an inch yesterday, just enough to help the lawns. So far this rainy season, we have had 4 1/2" and last year we had a total of 26 3/4 inches in my fair city in So. CA. The mountains have received some good snow levels so far and it helping out the ski resorts and local business that need the snow so bad.....

It's been raining for two days here. We sure needed it. Had to move the horse and goats to the upper pasture since the lower one on the tributary is flooded. The lakes are soooo low I think we're gonna need a lot more rain to make up for the past few months of dry weather.

I hear ya, Mickey. We were loaded for a camping trip to lake DeGray. I hated to call this morning and cancel. My wife was disappointed as it is her Spring Break this week. I took her to Jhonny Carrino's for lunch, but that didn't help much. She really needs to get out of town for a few days.

Go visit Buddy in OK. He said it was sunny today.

We were by DeGray on Saturday...Camp Couchdale for a rodeo awards thingamajig. Rained like crazy and the power went out for 2 hours. Didn't faze these folks at all. With in minutes, literally, there were about ten gennies, portable lamps and extension cords.

Cowboys with campers...ready for anything. Gotta luv 'em!

Hey...I have an idea...

Why don't you get a site over at Joplin on Lake Ouachita. Then, if it rains, you could book a facial, manicure, pedicure or massage for her at Turtle Cove Spa. The place is awesome. You could even get a massage or "barber shop" shave and facial for yourself. Or you could always go to the shooting range by Brady while she does the facial stuff. That's what my hubby does.

I know about cowboys. By brother-in-law and his two sons are cowboys. They have a sheep and horse ranch near Mt. Vernon. You are correct, they are self-reliant.

Mt. Vernon? Good grief...we "do" the Mt. Vernon rodeo from April 'til October. What a hoot!

I still think your wife would like Turtle Cove Spa. As they say in the rodeo, "Be thinkin' about it!"

;-)
