The threads in this section are "ruff and ready" arguments over dogma, apparently.

If there are other topics you want discussed too--then in my opinion-- post them as a thread.
1. Love justice, you who judge the earth; think of the LORD in goodness, and seek him in integrity of heart;
2. Because he is found by those who test him not, and he manifests himself to those who do not disbelieve him.
3. For perverse counsels separate a man from God, and his power, put to the proof, rebukes the foolhardy;
4. Because into a soul that plots evil wisdom enters not, nor dwells she in a body under debt of sin.

I'm of the same opinion. If those posting can obey the forum rules, I see no reason for segregation of subjects to be discussed. In my new forum ventures that is exactly how I intend to proceed.

Then I will suggest that you read the guidelines for The Breach forum and the guidelines for The Cloisters forum. I think your question will be answered.

That's exactly the issue, Buddy. Questions should be in the questions forum, sub forums have different rules from the Breach, etc., etc., etc....
Simple is best.

This is my point also. One forum for all.

You don't have to click around all the forums to see what is going on.

I tried multiple sub-forums on the Neighborhood and found that they dilluted the activity to a point that few were bothering to participate in the sub-forums.
Now the main concern I see in having one discussion forum is that some members get offended by the posts of some less than civil members. However--I believe the ignore features can rectify that along with active moderation of those who don't get the multiple hints, In fact--in the administration area you can require that all posts of troublemakers be reviewed prior to being posted.
I would rather have one forum with all the variety of topics at my fingertips and displayed in front of me. If, for example I don't like religious topics--then I certainly don't have to click on the thread. I believe that certain types of subjects come and go as the mood of the members and news events change. A tight knit group as we once had at the "Fire" felt more like a community as we all participated and interacted with each other.
On the Open Door there is one forum. After a year of experience,Moolah has been able to keep civility in play and used a firm hand whenever it became necessary. On the American Patriot/Neighborhood we have three forums. The Neighborhood will never have sub-forums of its own. I simply don't believe it is necessary any longer. But this is my opinion.

I will continue to look for further suggestions that might improve Unto The Breach, but we are what we are and not what other forums are. I like the seperate forums, though I read all of them, if one doesn't want to read one of them, that was the purpose of in setting it up that way. Any suggestions for improvement will be taken up in the Admin Forum for review and we welcome all suggestions...

While we don't have hundreds of regular posters we do have more than 25. Wasn't it you which complained to another member about the language they used on one of your topics in 'The Breach'?

The Administrators are routinely accused of over moderation already. We, Admins, have voted several times that we do not want to use the review posts before they can be seen on the board feature. That is much to much like babysitting.
Jim,
How do you see the posters are not adhering to the structure? I assume you mean the religious topics but the reasons for that has already been explained. Is there somthing else?
BTW - I am not arguing, I want this to be a free discussion and I wish more people would join in.

As to numbers, my AF group has over 700 members and we have a single forum. On that forum, I automatically by-pass certain members due to past conduct.
